Our Story
Scapes founder and president Doug Adams has loved plants for as long as he can remember. While the other kids in the neighborhood were out playing games, Doug was mowing grass, hoeing the garden, doing anything he could with plants.
The first time he ever saw a professionally landscaped yard, at 12 years old, he knew he had found his calling. After graduating from Auburn University with a Bachelors in Landscape Design, Doug worked as manager of a retail nursery. At age 22, he started his own landscape company in Atlanta, GA, which he operated until moving to Montana in 2000, at which time he learned a new palette of plant material and kept on planting.
